Mini Mane was born during New Zealand’s 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. As a professional hairdresser and mum, I transitioned from fully booked days in my private studio to being home 24/7 with my toddler—who was rapidly growing a wild mane of hair.

The first challenge we faced? Hair brushing. My fiercely independent toddler, determined to “do it herself,” inspired me to create an easy-to-hold detangling brush that parents and children could use effortlessly.

As a hairdresser, I’m particular about what touches my daughter’s hair. Using professional-quality products was a given, but I found the market lacked options that met my high standards for kids. This sparked a question: What are other parents using, and is it truly good for their children’s hair? That’s when the idea of Mini Mane Haircare was born.

With my knowledge of ingredients and years of industry experience, I knew exactly what I wanted—and didn’t want—in the formulas. Partnering with a team of experienced New Zealand chemists, we spent four years testing and perfecting our clean, cruelty-free products. Packed with natural ingredients and free from harsh chemicals, our products leave hair soft, shiny, and easy to manage.

Now, after years of development (and welcoming another baby girl), Mini Mane Kind Kids Haircare is here. Our mission is simple: to make haircare a fun, easy, and tear-free experience for both kids and parents.
